Chinese automaker BYD is examining conditions in several European countries and is preparing feasibility studies to open it up for production. In this respect informs Automotive News Europe.
According to him, BYD is considering three European countries to host automotive production, including negotiating with the French government. Germany and Spain are considered as alternative locations for the facility.
The newspaper also states that BYD prefers to establish its own factory rather than buying one of the closed ventures of well-known automakers, such as the Ford factory in Saarlouis, Germany.
The Chinese company, which will choose a location for the factory before the end of the year, plans to start producing cars in 2025.
