The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation included cars of 12 foreign brands in the parallel import list, informs RIA Novosti cites a source in the industry.
The new list of car brands whose cars are allowed to be imported in parallel includes Renault, Ford, Kia, Mazda, Hyundai, Genesis, Dacia, Citroen, Mazda, Opel, Peugeot and Isuzu. The document was sent to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for approval.
More than 30 brands have been on the list since last May, including Land Rover, Tesla, Mercedes-benz, Mitsubishi, BMW, Mini, Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Suzuki, Honda, Infiniti, Nissan . and Bugatti.
The association “Russian Auto Dealers” announced that it is proposed to expand the list of car brands for parallel import in order to reduce the deficit in the mass segment of the Russian car market earlier.
