In the morning, a 21-year-old local resident contacted the police, noticing that his car was parked differently and that he had signs of damage on his body. It turned out that someone else was driving the car at night. Thanks to security cameras, police found and detained a 28-year-old man, who had been previously convicted, along with a 29-year-old friend.
It turned out that on the way to the store, two men saw a parked VAZ-2106 and decided to ride it. It was possible to start the engine by connecting the wires directly. On the way back, the friends decided to return the car to its place and had an accident and escaped by entering the garden.
The detainees admitted their guilt, a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal possession of a car without the purpose of theft, committed by a group of people with prior agreement.”
