The head of UAZ announced the release of a diesel engine and a new transmission at 16:54 in 2024.

Next year, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant plans to produce a diesel engine and a new manual transmission. About said Adil Shirinov, Managing Director of the enterprise, in the latest issue of the Panorama UAZ corporate newspaper.

“During 2023, we will actively work to lay the maximum foundation, and in May 2024 we will launch upgraded products based on UAZ. It will be a diesel engine with a new six-speed manual transmission. This will definitely attract customer interest and allow us to increase volumes even more,” said Shirinov.

Shirinov also noted that in 2024, work will be carried out at UAZ to modernize the existing products of the enterprise. According to him, there are no plans to reduce the model range at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.

“We will not sell anything because there is demand for all cars. There are customers in every segment demanding a vehicle. Next year, we will definitely launch a new product under the Sollers brand, based on our industrial park in Ulyanovsk.

Earlier in an interview with the Shirinov newspaper saidUAZ plans to resume production of the Patriot SUV with automatic transmission in 2024.
