The Assurland Association of Insurers has published a study with the prices of insurance in Europe, which is very curious. In Europe it is called OSAGO “Green card» – in fact, this is the same contract of auto liability insurance.
“Today, a car insurance costs an average of 630 euros compared to 611 euros last year,” says the study.
The reason for the price increase is inflation, the increase in the cost of spare parts and repairs, and even remote working, which caused people to travel less.
Increasing natural disasters also added to the costs: flooding, hail, abnormal heat. This resulted in damage to 340,000 vehicles in 2022, involving more than 1 billion euros in damage.
The most expensive insurance is in Ile-de-France (France) – on average today it is 745 euros per year (49 thousand rubles). In Brittany, insurance costs only 500 euros (33 thousand rubles).
In regions along the Atlantic coast, policy prices were lower.
Drivers aged 18-25 pay an average of 1255 euros (83 thousand rubles) for insurance, and 56-65-year-old drivers pay 450 euros (30 thousand rubles).
