Sollers plans to start production of the new crossover in Vladivostok in 2023 16:44

The Sollers company plans to start production of the crossover at a factory in Vladivostok in the second quarter of 2023. This was reported by TASS citing Zoya Kaiku, the company’s vice president.

“We hope that from the second quarter of 2023 we will start production of new cars of the new brand in Vladivostok. The cars will be passenger cars, actually we expect it to be a Mazda line. This will be a mid-price segment crossover, respectively.”

According to Zoya Kaiki, the new models will replace the Mazda CX-5, CX-9 crossovers on the assembly line.

About Mazda Motor leaving Russia and selling its stake in Sollers PJSC reported 10 November. The transaction amount was 1€. Mazda Motor’s loss in connection with its withdrawal from the Russian market is estimated at 12 billion yen ($82 million). Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus JV has been producing cars in SKD mode since 2012.
