The Maxus brand, part of the Chinese company SAIC, introduced the Maxus Everest double-decker truck-based camper with 18 square meters of living space, informs Portal “Chinese cars”.
The caravan is built on the platform of a Genlion H6 truck of SAIC’s trademark Hongyan. On the first floor of the pickup truck, there is a kitchen-dining room, a bathroom and a collapsible terrace, on the second floor there is a bed and a sofa.
The truck is equipped with water filtration and heating systems, household appliances, underfloor heating, floodlights and two air conditioners. Responsible for the work of electricians is a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 29 kWh, which can be charged from solar panels, charging stations and the motor.
The caravan received an 8.7-liter diesel engine (330 hp, 1400 Nm) developed by IVECO, a 6-band automatic, all-wheel drive and three differential locks. The standard capacity of the fuel tank is 300 liters, which should be enough for 1 thousand kilometers (a 600-liter tank is available at an additional cost). The price of the truck is 2.88 million yuan (24.3 million rubles).
