The Moskvich plant will begin car assembly next week. About this in an interview with RIA Novosti said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
“Next week he will start the first assembly. And I hope that next year it will reach parameters of business volume comparable to when Renault was there. We plan to launch our own platform, the Russian platform for electric vehicles, in 2-3 years,” he said.
Renault transferred control of the Moscow plant to the Moscow government in May of this year, after which the company reverted to its former name Moskvich. Later on seen first photos of the series about the new Moskvich.
Previously reportedBy the end of 2022, it is planned to produce 600 cars, 200 of which are electric cars, at the Moskvich plant. Next year, the volumes will increase to 50 thousand, of which 10-20 thousand will be electric motors.
