Inside there are a couple of 10-inch screens, voice control, great places for smartphones. The top version has all modern driving assistants, including active cruise control with lane guidance. Not everything works well yet, but the equipment is impressive.
Drives like Tiggo
The 1.5 turbo engine for 147 “horses” with CVT is cheerfully driven: the car honestly gives 10 seconds to “hundreds”. Traction control is no problem. The variator can even withstand driving backwards. Although with front-wheel drive and a real ground clearance of 155 mm there is nothing to do in the off-road.
But Tiggo 4 Pro already had all this. The settings are basically the same. For example, the reactive action on the steering wheel is not very logical, I want the suspension a bit softer. But the cab is quieter: soundproofed front windows work.
LED headlights shine well. There are also fog lights with cornering lights.
Rustic finish
On the door cards only the armrests are soft, you can see and weld the metal of the door frames, the black lacquered strip on the front panel shines like a mirror … Tiggo 4 Pro is better finished!
But they did not save on heating. There is even ventilation from the front seats – albeit weak, only on the cushion.
The driver is slightly hindered by a high tunnel and a close-fitting footrest of the left foot.
Not much space
The Tiggo 4 Pro also has little space in the second row and a small trunk (although the Omoda is distinguished by an electric fifth door).
And the cramped front seats are something new. For a spectacular appearance, the roof was lowered and tall riders supported it with their heads. Especially the right one, which has no seat height adjustment.
And this is another reason to forgo the top configuration, in which a hatch is installed that hides a few precious centimeters from above.
Under a small compartment with a capacity of 378 liters is a full-sized spare wheel. For once on the “Chinese” the fifth door rises high enough.
Should I take it?
Omoda C5 is two to three hundred thousand rubles more expensive than Tiggo 4. And what do you want – fashion!
Prices start from 2.4 million rubles. But they offer very attractive discounts: for example, more than 300 thousand rubles for an exchange.
Against the background of a shortage, they will take. Nearly 450 orders have already been received and the number of dealers will reach 100 by the end of the year.
