Line up at the intersection – any driver can get in

At intersections with a complex configuration, the traffic order is determined by the markings applied by the road services. But such markup is not everywhere.

Let’s take an example:

Two cars want to cross the intersection and aim for the same lane at the same time. Who exactly should give way?

What is the difficulty?

There are no markings at the intersection 1.7 (ndotted line with short strokes and equal intervals). It is this marking that helps motorists to keep their lane within the intersection. It is allowed to cross it, but according to the rules of reconstruction, that is, make way for a car in the next row.

You must remember about clause 8.9 of the SDA:

In cases where the trajectories of vehicles intersect and the order of passing is not specified by the rules, the driver must give way to whoever approaches the vehicle from the right.

If the width of the intersection does not allow you to determine the exact boundaries of the right-hand lane, you must give way to vehicles on the right. Simply put: whoever is more right-wing is right.
