Za Rulem editor-in-chief Maxim Kadakov attended the presentation in Moscow of the SkyWell ET5 electric crossover, which is tipped to compete with the rather successful Geely Tugella and Exeed TXL.
The power reserve of this by no means small front-wheel drive “electric train” (length 4700 mm) is 520 km. From the interesting – laser headlights and a driver’s seat with an ottoman, which folds out into a sun lounger.
The prices are impressive, since there is no state subsidy for the purchase of SkyWells that are not located in the Russian Federation: two complete sets of ET5 are estimated at 4.5 and 5.0 million rubles.
In addition to the ET5, they plan to bring its “relative” to the Russian Federation by the summer of 2023 with a hybrid power plant, the HT-i. The sales plan for both versions is 3,000 cars in the coming year.
However, this is in the future. Meanwhile, OTTS is being released for the “pure electric” ET5 – which will be ready in about three weeks, according to “Behind the Wheel”. Then crossovers are for sale at official dealers. By the way, by the end of this year there should already be two dozen in the Russian Federation.
And one more question: do the proposed prices suit the Russian target group?
Crossover with “chips” that competitors do not have. When for sale?
