Loans to buy a car in Russia are taken most often married men aged 31 to 40 (36%) with higher education, marriedreports RIA Novosti with reference to the investigation of the bank “Opening”.
In total, more than 30,000 car loans from 2022 were analysed.
25% of borrowers already buy a car on credit at the age of 30. Another quarter borrows from a bank when buying a car between the ages of 41 and 50, 17% of the customers are between 21 and 30 years old, the rest are people aged 51 and older.
Men are more likely to buy cars with borrowed money than women – 63% to 37%.
60% of car borrowers have no children, 21% have one child, 15% have two and 4% have three or more.
62% of borrowers are people with higher education, the proportion of those with secondary vocational education is 30%. 69% of bank customers are married and there are more married men than married women – 72% to 62%.
