The North American firm Xenex Motorsports LLC unveiled the Xenex MX Speedster, a bold interpretations born from the design studio of Kasim Tlibekov, a transport designer based in Nalchik.

The project centers on a thorough overhaul and deep tuning of the first-generation Mazda MX-5 roadster, a model produced from 1989 through 1997 that continues to captivate enthusiasts across the United States.

Removed from public view, the concept notes indicate the MX Speedster preserves only the doors from the original Xenex MX Speedster bodywork. The car is a true speedster, shed of a roof and side glass, with new panels crafted from composite materials.

To assemble this car, Xenex Motorsports requires a donor Mazda vehicle. The donor is dismantled, rebuilt, and used as the foundation to construct an updated MX Speedster on a modernized chassis.

The engine options span from a conventional 1.6-liter unit delivering 114 horsepower, up to a turbocharged variant around 200 horsepower for a performance-oriented S model. An alternate route explores a GM LS V8 swap, delivering power in excess of 350 horsepower.
