Xcite X-Cross 7 Recall in Russia Over ERA-GLONASS Mic and Speed Sensor Wiring

The former Nissan facility now known as Avtozavod St. Petersburg will recall 1,150 XCite X-Cross 7 vehicles in Russia because the ERA-GLONASS microphone may fail, preventing two way voice communication with emergency services. This issue, noted by the regulatory authorities and the automaker, could delay help in urgent situations if the system cannot provide clear voice contact when needed. The notice emphasizes the importance of addressing the fault promptly to maintain essential safety features in these cars.

In a voluntary agreement with Rosstandart, the recall covers X-Cross 7 vehicles produced between November 8, 2023 and June 5, 2024. During the repair, dealers will verify the microphone’s operation, correct any incorrect microphone connections, and install a replacement microphone if one is missing. The aim is to restore reliable two way communication with emergency services and ensure the ERA-GLONASS system performs as designed during critical moments.

Separately, 708 XCite cars are being recalled due to potential damage to wiring that runs to the front wheel speed sensors. A fault in these electrical connections can affect the functioning of the anti lock braking system and other features that depend on accurate wheel speed data. This recall focuses on safeguarding components that rely on timely, precise sensor inputs to maintain vehicle stability and braking performance.

The list of VIN numbers for vehicles included in the recall is published on the Rosstandart website, enabling owners to check whether their car is affected. This catalog forms part of the official recall notice and helps service centers identify eligible vehicles for the required inspections and repairs. Owners should contact their local dealers for a detailed service timetable and instructions on how to proceed with the remedy.

Earlier coverage noted that in Russia spare parts for Lada and UAZ had become more expensive over the past month, highlighting ongoing shifts in the Russian auto parts market. The current recall adds to the broader context of adjustments in vehicle maintenance and safety-related repairs across the country, as regulators, manufacturers, and suppliers respond to evolving conditions in the market and technology updates in modern cars.
