In Cheboksary, a 39-year-old Mercedes driver reportedly followed his former partner and pressured her to go on a date. The details come from SHOT.
According to the report, a man identified as Sergei, who previously held a leadership role at Chuvashkhleboproduct, could not cope with the end of the relationship. He began dating another woman, a blonde, but terminated that romance not long before her birthday. Unable to accept that his former girlfriend might move on, he allegedly tracked her down and started searching for her. Near her residence in the Kalininsky district, he allegedly pressed his former partner into the building’s hallway and then headed toward a shopping center. Ultimately, she managed to slip away from the date and later contacted the police to report the incident, the publication notes. (SHOT)
As a result, authorities opened a criminal case against the Mercedes driver. He now faces up to five years in prison on charges related to kidnapping. Reports also indicate that he has a prior conviction for making threats of violence. (SHOT)
