The premium Great Wall sub-brand is set to introduce the Wey 07, a full-size hybrid crossover, as the next major product to enter the Russian market. Reports from the automotive portal Chinese Cars have outlined the plan, with the model slated to premiere in early autumn, specifically in September.
According to disclosures, vehicle type approval for the Wey 07 is targeted for July. Official sales of the hybrid Wey 07 in Russia are scheduled to begin at the start of autumn, spanning the month of September.
The Wey 07 is described as a parallel hybrid crossover in which the internal combustion engine is mechanically linked to the wheels. Estimated power output for the propulsion system sits in the vicinity of 400 to 500 horsepower. The crossover is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in roughly six seconds and offers an estimated range of about 1,200 kilometers on a full charge. The price has not been disclosed at this stage.
In related developments, the updated Changan Uni-K crossover has entered the Chinese market. It features a redesigned matrix radiator grille and interconnected taillights. In China, the base model of the updated Uni-K is available at a starting price of 159.9 thousand yuan, which is roughly ₽2 million. Under the hood lies a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine delivering 233 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed Aisin hydromechanical automatic transmission.
