A resident of Voronezh survived a dramatic fall after tumbling from a 19th floor window and was discharged from the hospital a week later. This information was provided to the regional health department by RIA Novosti, citing the regional medical authorities.

According to BSMP No. 1, the patient was discharged to continue treatment on an outpatient basis at the annex clinic, a detail confirmed by a department representative. The discharge marks a case history that prompted immediate medical attention and subsequent evaluation to ensure the patient could recover safely outside the hospital setting.

The incident occurred on the evening of April 3 on Kolesnichenko Street. An adult male, born in 1982, reportedly fell from the 19th floor, striking a car below. He stood up after the fall and reportedly uttered a line from Alla Pugacheva’s song Love is like a dream. Medical staff stated that, despite the dramatic fall, the injuries were not life threatening, and the patient did not suffer serious harm according to early assessments.

Investigators from the Voronezh Region Investigative Committee described the event as the result of a dispute between the man and a young woman. After the fall, the person landed roughly 60 meters from the point of impact on a Nissan X-Trail. The car owner promptly filed a police report, noting damage from the incident and cooperating with authorities as part of the ongoing inquiry.

In a related note, regional authorities reported another separate incident in a different area: two individuals drowned while crossing a river at night in the Leningrad region, underscoring broader public safety concerns and the unpredictable risks present near water and urban environments.

Officials emphasized that investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fall and the subsequent medical response. Local health services remain focused on monitoring the patient’s recovery and ensuring access to follow-up care as needed. Public safety authorities remind residents to exercise caution in high-rise settings and to seek immediate medical attention after any serious fall or injury. The case is being reviewed by relevant authorities to establish accountability and learn from the event to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
