The updated Volkswagen Tuyue crossover has entered the Chinese market with fresh styling and new tech. Built on the MQB platform, it is positioned with a price range of 150,000 to 200,000 yuan, roughly converting to 1.56 million to 2.1 million rubles depending on market conditions.

Design cues emphasize bold headlights and prominent air intakes. The body is outlined with unpainted protective plastic along the sides, complemented by roof rails and a spoiler above the tailgate. An available Moon Black styling package adds a distinctive visual twist for buyers seeking a more aggressive appearance.

In terms of footprint, the Tuyue sits in the same size class as the Tiguan. It measures 4458 mm in length, 1841 mm in width, and 1632 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2680 mm that signals a spacious interior suitable for everyday family use or urban adventures.

Inside, the cabin integrates a digital instrument cluster and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. A large 12-inch multimedia display anchors the dashboard, and flexible seating configurations enable a more versatile interior layout reminiscent of van-style cabins when needed. This adaptability makes the Tuyue practical for varying passenger loads and cargo requirements.

The powertrain lineup features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The manufacturer notes that this engine is capable of running on lower-octane fuel, though real-world tests suggest using higher quality gasoline for consistent performance. For customers seeking more punch, a 2.0-liter turbo engine delivering 186 horsepower and 320 Nm is also available. Both engines are paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

In the Russian market, the Tuyue will be imported through parallel import channels and is expected to command a higher price, estimated at roughly 2.3 million to 3.1 million rubles. This price positioning reflects import logistics and local market conditions rather than the base Chinese offering.
