An authorized dealer has launched pre-orders for the Volkswagen Tayron SUV. The sticker price starts at 3.3 million rubles in the Russian market, while in China the vehicle is offered at a much lower price, equivalent to about 1.9 million rubles when translated into local currency.
The Tayron line is available with two engine options: a 1.4 liter unit and a 2.0 liter unit, delivering 150 and 186 horsepower respectively. Both engines pair with a seven-speed DSG7 dual-clutch automatic transmission. Buyers can choose between front drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
In Russia, the model will be offered in versions including the 1.4 TSI 2WD in the Premium Plus package, the 2.0 TSI 4WD in the Premium Plus package, and the Tayron X 2.0 TSI 4WD in the R-Line package. These crossovers are the product of a joint venture between a German and a Chinese company.
Standard features include LED headlights and taillights, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, a leather interior, parking sensors with a rearview camera, a color LCD touchscreen, keyless entry, an engine start button, three-zone climate control, ambient interior lighting with 30 color options, and a power tailgate.
