A traffic incident in Volgograd involved a resident driving a Vortex Estina to a bus stop, resulting in the death of an elderly woman. The information comes from the press service of the regional main directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The accident occurred on March 15.
According to preliminary data, the event unfolded around 11:30 in the morning. A 27-year-old female driver was behind the wheel of a Vortex Estina and was traveling down a street near Army 64, opposite Universitetsky Avenue. As she approached Kirov Street, she lost control of the vehicle and struck a 62-year-old female pedestrian who was on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she later died due to her injuries. A judicial investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. It has not been confirmed whether the female driver sustained any injuries.
In a separate incident, authorities reported a mass collision involving five vehicles in Yekaterinburg. One person sustained injuries in that crash. (Reported by the regional press service.)
