In Bashkiria, a village mechanic has begun assembling rugged military cars intended to move soldiers toward front lines in the special operation zones. This update comes from the head of the Chishminsky district, Rishat Mansurov, via a Telegram channel post that outlines the initiative and its expected impact on local support for the mission.
The resident of Chishmin is described as highly motivated and practical, gathering vehicles for the army stationed in the NVO area. The cars are described as innovative and highly maneuverable rally-style buggies, featuring reinforced bodies and a metal panel serving as a windshield, with a single compact window for the driver. The design is pitched as enabling quicker, more flexible response during combat tasks, potentially easing the execution of mission objectives in challenging terrain and conditions.
According to the report, the car build relied on domestically produced Lada components. The engine, chassis, and steering were taken from a Lada-2114, while wheels were sourced from a Niva SUV. The assembled buggy weighs approximately 500 kilograms. Officials say the vehicles are slated for delivery to the NWO region in the near future, where they will join other assets in support of field operations.
Earlier in the region, there were reports about an unclassified model nicknamed Moskvich 5 in Tatarstan, highlighting ongoing efforts to adapt and repurpose civilian platforms for military use. (Source attribution: RIA Novosti)
