The updated Haval Jolion will be offered in Russia in six trim levels with prices ranging from 2 million to 2.8 million rubles, according to the Automobile News of the Day portal.
Post update, the Jolion preserves its engine lineup. The sole engine option remains a 1.5 liter petrol unit, delivering 143 horsepower with front wheel drive, or 150 horsepower when paired with all wheel drive. Transmission choices include a six speed manual and a seven speed robotic unit.
Along with the update, the configuration list has seen some refinements. The flagship version adds a panoramic roof and sunroof, while certain trims offer driver seat ventilation and the Haval Connection telematics system.
The Jolion has become a strong seller for the brand in Russia, reaching the market at the end of 2023. In the prior year, sales of this model surged more than threefold, totaling 55.5 thousand units across the country.
In the latest market rankings, the Lada Niva Travel claimed the second spot among popular crossovers and SUVs with 46.9 thousand units sold. The Chery Tiggo 7 PRO Max followed in third place with 41 thousand vehicles. The Lada Niva Legend SUV ranked fourth with 39 thousand sales, and Geely Coolray rounded out the top five with 38.2 thousand units moved.
There were reports previously noting Japan will reduce automobile exports to Russia by 30 percent in 2024, a shift that could influence the broader regional market dynamics and model availability.
