Two Cases of Theft and a Tire Collection Initiative
A 36-year-old man from Balashikha with prior convictions was detained on suspicion of theft by officers from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region. The investigation follows a report from a resident of Belarus who said unidentified individuals damaged the canopy of a trailer parked at the 179th kilometer of the Central Ring Road and stole 276 cans of motor oil, amounting to 505 thousand rubles.
The press service of the Moscow region Main Directorate confirms that the suspect has been identified and detained on suspicion of theft. An investigator from the department overseeing investigations filed a criminal case under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which covers theft. The suspect has been remanded in custody as the case proceeds.
In another part of the report, it is noted that a criminal case has been opened under the same article and the suspect remains in custody while the investigation continues.
7000 Tires Sought in Popular Sizes
Public safety and timely medical care depend on reliable road traffic infrastructure. In response, a campaign led by the organization Behind the Wheel in partnership with the Popular Front has begun collecting funds to purchase tires for vehicles used by the People’s Police and other essential services. These include ambulances, emergency responders, humanitarian aid transport to conflict-affected areas, and military logistics support. Contributions can be made through the collection page and will be allocated to tire purchases for these critical vehicles.
