Two people passed away in a collision on the M-8 highway within the Arkhangelsk region, according to a Telegram post from the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations. The incident involved a Renault Logan and a SHACMAN truck and occurred in the Vinogradovsky district. In the immediate aftermath, two others were injured, among them a child, all of whom were inside the same vehicle.
Officials reported that the woman who was in the car died on the scene due to her injuries. Rescue personnel from PCh-29 arrived at the wreckage and used hydraulic equipment to remove the deceased from the car. The three individuals who remained in serious condition were stabilized and transferred to medical staff for ongoing care. It was confirmed that the man who had been in the vehicle did not survive the ordeal and passed away while en route to the hospital.
The truck driver reportedly escaped harm, and traffic police have initiated an investigation to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the crash.
