A passenger car was reported to have caught fire after a collision on the highway in Kamchatka, according to a Telegram channel associated with Amur Mash. The incident is under investigation by local authorities and emergency responders have been dispatched to the scene.
The collision involved a Toyota Cresta and a Toyota Surf. The Cresta was traveling from a construction site near the airport toward the village known as Fifth Construction, when it collided with the Surf at the entrance to Yelizovo. As a result of the impact, the red SUV overturned and the Cresta struck a pole, igniting a fire. A female driver was inside the Cresta and, with the help of eyewitnesses, was extracted from the vehicle and transported to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Witness accounts are being collected to determine the sequence of events and any contributing factors.
The 55-year-old operator of the Toyota Surf reportedly sustained no injuries.
In Moscow, two cars collided on October 17, resulting in a fire that engulfed one of the vehicles. A Kia sedan struck the rear of an SUV, which then erupted into flames, with the fire rapidly spreading to the interior of the Kia as well.
