A fallen tree in Rostov-on-Don crushed four parked cars, according to the Don Mash Telegram channel.
The incident reportedly happened on Shchadenko Street. In addition to the vehicles, a nearby pharmacy sign and the windows of a high-rise building were damaged as debris scattered across the area.
One eyewitness, who captured the aftermath on video, said, “Four cars were damaged. The administration has already been notified, and the pharmacy’s director was on the scene.”
The footage shows a white Mazda with Moscow plates severely crushed, with the impact affecting the passenger compartment near the driver and front passenger seats as well as the engine bay. A Ford Mondeo and another red foreign car nearby suffered similarly serious damage. There have been no reported injuries so far.
Earlier reports described an unrelated incident in which a 39-year-old woman from Stavropol Territory, after being released from custody a year earlier, threw a 10-year-old boy during an apparent attempt to escape. Authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding that event as it unfolded.
Experts emphasize that downtown areas with heavy vehicle traffic and dense residential buildings require careful maintenance of trees and timely removal of hazardous limbs. Local authorities remind residents to stay clear of fallen debris and report any threats to public safety immediately to emergency services. The situation in Rostov-on-Don highlights the importance of rapid response protocols, including securing the area, assessing structural risks, and coordinating with utility and health services to prevent further harm.
Citizens are urged to follow official updates from city services for information about repairs, street closures, and expected timelines for restoring normal traffic flow. Monitoring officials and local news outlets can provide ongoing reports as crews work to clear the site and restore safety to the neighborhood. The incident serves as a reminder of how quickly street-level hazards can arise and the need for vigilance when navigating urban streets after severe weather or tree concerns.
