In Moscow, two central streets, Ilyinka and Varvarka, will be closed to traffic on December 14 due to the direct line and Vladimir Putin’s press conference. The capital’s Ministry of Transport reported the temporary restrictions, and parking will be unavailable on these streets during the event.
Officials announced that from 00:01 until the event concludes, the crossing between Ilyinka and Varvarka streets and the area around the fifth building on Red Square will be blocked to traffic. Additionally, parking on Ilyinka and Varvarka will be suspended for the duration of the event.
Drivers were advised to plan routes ahead of time, remain attentive to traffic signs, and consider alternatives. The ministry encouraged the use of public transportation, including the metro, the Moscow Central Circle, and the Moscow Central Diameters, to access the city center on the day of the event.
Ahead of the unified direct line and Putin’s press conference, the Popular Front call center reported receiving more than a million one hundred thousand inquiries via phone and SMS from residents and visitors looking for updates and guidance.
Previously, President Putin commented on the Russian automotive sector and its response to the recent economic challenges, highlighting developments and future plans for the industry.
