On the eve of a payday, a 36-year-old man received a six-month total salary of 495 thousand rubles. To celebrate, he stopped by a liquor store and then left nearly all of the cash in the glove compartment of his car. Inside the store, he met a man named Stepan and his girlfriend. After sharing a drink with them, he offered to take the couple home in his vehicle.
During the journey, traffic cops stopped the car. The officers suspected drunk driving and asked the driver to accompany them to the patrol car for a test. The man declined to take the breathalyzer test. While the traffic inspectors were preparing a protocol, the two passengers fled the scene with the remainder of the money from the glove compartment.
