The M-11 Neva highway faced a disruption after a collision involving a car and a truck. Reports shared through the Telegram channel “78. News” documented the incident.
According to today’s account, at the 584th kilometer of the M-11 Neva highway, a passenger vehicle exited a rest area with a risky maneuver. The Volkswagen Golf moved into the acceleration lane and, uncertain about the safety of the lane change, failed to yield to a truck approaching from behind. The two vehicles collided at the point of impact, according to the report.
Witnesses noted that the pickup truck veered to the opposite side of the road during the crash. Both drivers were transported to a hospital, and traffic was redirected promptly onto the A-120 highway to restore flow.
Earlier reports mentioned a bus carrying business commuters who overturned in the Stavropol region. Five passengers were aboard at the time, with a 49-year-old local resident sustaining injuries and being taken to a hospital. The bus was driven by a 63-year-old individual, and investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
