Three-Vehicle Crash in Northern Moscow Injures Two Teen Girls
Two girls aged 14 and 15 were seriously injured when a three-car collision occurred in the northern part of Moscow, according to the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate reported via its Telegram channel.
The incident took place on Bibliotechny Proezd and involved three vehicles: an Exeed, a Hino truck, and a Fiat passenger car. Early information from the traffic police indicates that the Exeed driver collided with the Hino truck, which then struck the Fiat car. The order of impact suggests a chain reaction that contributed to the severity of the scene.
The two injured teenagers were passengers in the Exeed. They sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken to a hospital for treatment. An administrative investigation into the crash has been launched to determine responsibility and contributing factors.
In a separate report from Rostov-on-Don, a Hyundai Accent driver collapsed behind the wheel, causing that vehicle to crash into a semi-trailer truck. The semi-trailer then collided with a fuel tanker in the opposite lane, highlighting how medical emergencies can abruptly worsen road incidents.
Earlier reports also noted a separate incident involving a resident of Yaroslavl who allegedly stole an ambulance containing medical staff, leading to a traffic crash. That case underscores concerns about vehicle theft and public safety on the road network.
Officials continue to investigate these events to determine contributing factors, including driver health, vehicle condition, and traffic conditions at the time of each crash. The authorities emphasize the importance of safety measures for all road users, especially while driving with young passengers on board. Local hospitals are providing care to the injured, and authorities are reviewing surrounding circumstances to prevent recurrence and improve traffic safety protocols.
