A taxi collisions on Moscow Ring Road after Chevrolet Lanos breaks down
A taxi collided with a Chevrolet Lanos that had stopped on the Moscow Ring Road due to a breakdown. This update comes from the official Telegram channel of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate.
Officials report that on the outer side of kilometer 83 of the ring road, the Chevrolet driver experienced a mechanical fault and pulled over. After the breakdown, the driver and a passenger stepped away from the vehicle to inspect the situation. At that moment, a taxi ran into the stationary car, causing the crash, as described by the traffic agency.
Video footage suggests that after the initial impact the damaged Lanos was pushed into a white Lada, and then struck by a passing truck. Both the Chevrolet driver and the Lanos occupant sustained injuries of varying degrees and were transported to a medical facility for treatment. Authorities are actively reviewing the incident to determine all contributing factors and ensure accountability and safety on the road.
Earlier reports noted a separate incident on a highway in Kalmykia where two cars collided and nine people were injured, underscoring ongoing concerns about highway safety and the need for careful driving, especially on busy routes.
