In November, the Chinese brand SWM will begin delivering crossover models to Russia, with production anchored at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. The news comes from the Chinese cars portal, which notes initial market activity will focus on a strong rollout across major cities. The first 25 showrooms are slated for Moscow, and the brand will soon establish a presence in St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, and additional large cities. Three SWM crossovers will anchor the lineup: the mid‑size G01, the G01F, and the G05 Pro.

The SWM G01 is positioned as the entry point model for the brand in Russia, with prices starting at approximately 2.4 million rubles. It features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering around 139 horsepower and a seven‑speed robotic transmission. The G01F variant expands on the G01 with sportier styling and more advanced technology, maintaining the same powertrain and a starting price near 2.6 million rubles.

Joining the range, the G05 Pro uses the same engine and transmission setup as its siblings. In a five‑seat configuration, the SWM G05 Pro is expected to list around 2.6 million rubles, while the seven‑seat version carries a slightly higher price at roughly 2.7 million rubles. This expansion aligns with a broader push to introduce new international brands to the Russian market through a network of local dealerships.

In related news, Geely has also begun selling a new sedan in Russia, illustrating the ongoing expansion of cross‑border automotive brands in the region. Across these developments, the market appears to be embracing a broader spectrum of compact and mid‑size crossovers, with buyers weighing price, power, and available technology as they compare models within these growing lineups.
