The Italian-Chinese automaker SWM, a subsidiary of Shineray, has announced the premiere date for its vehicles in Russia. The event is slated for March 20, with official sales to begin shortly after. This update comes from the company’s press service as cited by Motor.ru.
During the reveal, two crossovers, the G01F and G05 Pro, are set to be showcased. The G01, the lineup’s most accessible model, was introduced first in the announcements. The G01F will be offered in a five-seat configuration, while the G05 Pro will be available in both five-seat and seven-seat layouts. Both variants share a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering 139 horsepower, paired with a seven-speed automatic traction system described as a robotic transmission.
Feature-wise, the crossover package highlights LED headlamps, a digital instrument cluster, surround-view cameras, and climate control equipped with an ionizer. A panoramic roof and a suite of electronic driving aids round out the package, emphasizing comfort and safety for occupants.
SWM began production of its vehicles at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad in April of the previous year. However, the start of sales was postponed indefinitely, leaving potential buyers awaiting formal distribution and local availability details.
Earlier reports indicated that limited stock or rare variants of the Lada Granta could be among the upcoming offerings for the market, signaling a broader strategy to diversify choices for Russian customers in the near term.
