In Russia, certain groups can qualify for a subsidized auto loan. Among those eligible are Russians who have at least one child, public health officials, and citizens who have never owned a vehicle. Beyond these groups, preferential car loans are also available to military personnel (including enlisted members) and their families, military retirees, and individuals who are trading in a car.
The base discount for beneficiaries starts at 20 percent. In the Far East, the discount extends to 25 percent. The discount on products from the domestic automotive industry is 25 percent, but the total benefit cannot exceed 625 thousand rubles.
Vehicles eligible for the program include models from AVTOVAZ, GAZ, UAZ, Haval (assembled in the Tula region), and Evolute electric cars. Applicants can seek financing from Rosbank, VTB, Citybank, Sovcombank, Gazprombank, Otkritie, or Alfa-Bank. Applications are currently being accepted and processed.
