The Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport, Maxim Liksutov, presented figures that highlight the project’s momentum. He noted that the current results demonstrate strong early success and indicate solid traction as the initiative moves forward.
Since the project began, residents and visitors have grown accustomed to the new service and are recognizing the tangible advantages it brings. The system has become an integral part of daily life for many urban drivers, streamlining parking experiences and reducing uncertainty around parking rules.
“Around 500,000 Moscow drivers frequently travel to St. Petersburg and are already familiar with this mobile solution. Now it is convenient to use it in St. Petersburg as well, with a clear no-fine policy in place. For drivers from St. Petersburg who visit Moscow, the app offers a single, consistent experience. This is the right approach. I appreciate the collaboration of colleagues who contributed to bringing it to fruition,” Liksutov explained.
According to him, the project stands as a benchmark for cross-city cooperation between Moscow and St. Petersburg, illustrating how paired efforts can deliver practical benefits to commuters on both sides of the border.
- Notably, Moscow Parking marked its tenth anniversary in November, a milestone that underscores its longevity and evolving role in urban mobility.
