The Stavropol Region Police Have Completed a Fraud Case Against a Budennovsk Resident

The Stavropol Territory police have concluded a criminal investigation involving a Budennovsk resident who bought a car on credit and failed to pay the price. The information was released through the Telegram channel of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The case details reveal a sequence of actions that led to a fraud accusation and a closer look at the risks involved in credit purchases of vehicles.

According to investigators, the defendant agreed to acquire a car valued at 300 thousand rubles through a credit agreement with a local resident. Under the terms of the deal, the seller handed over the vehicle to the buyer, who then paid half of the agreed sum to the victim in exchange for the car. This portion of the payment was completed in good faith as part of the arrangement.

However, the buyer gave a promise to settle the remaining half within a month. The seller anticipated receipt of the second installment, but the promised payment never arrived. In an unsettling turn, the buyer subsequently sold the car for scrap and diverted the funds for personal use. The actions were deemed fraudulent, and the man, aged 50, faced charges of fraud as a result of the scheme and the resulting financial loss to the victim.

In a separate report, two adults and a baby in the Pskov region were hospitalized following an incident involving a deer on the roadway. This incident highlights how unforeseen wildlife interactions can create dangerous situations on regional roads, underscoring the importance of cautious driving and vigilance for drivers across the area.
