A new feature has gone live on the State Services portal to keep citizens informed about car recall campaigns.

When a manufacturing defect is detected in a vehicle, a notice is automatically sent to the owner’s personal account on the official portal of the Ministry of Digital Development. By delivering timely alerts about required repairs, road safety gains a clear advantage.

Many popular car owner services are already available on the portal and in Government Services apps, including the online Europrotocol, vehicle transactions, fines payment, and police traffic registrations. The existing capabilities have now been expanded with a crucial new service.

The recall notification service targets car owners who are registered with State Services.

To enable this feature, the user should have:

  • a verified account on State Services;
  • verified vehicle data from the traffic police linked to the user’s account.

To add vehicle data, access the Transport subsection within the Documents section and click Request. If any vehicles are found on the request, they will appear in the user’s personal account.

The message arriving in the State Services personal account contains the recall reason and a contact point for free repairs or guidance.

Reference

A vehicle recall is a procedure in which manufacturers identify and address defects in a batch after vehicles reach the market. Manufacturers initiate free repair campaigns to fix the defect. Between 2015 and 2022, millions of vehicles worldwide were recalled for service and safety updates.

Public Tire Support Initiative

In an effort to strengthen public safety and services, tire support for essential patrol and emergency fleets is being coordinated. Funds are being raised to purchase tires for vehicles used by law enforcement, emergency responders, and aid delivery teams. Contributions can be made on the collection page to support these efforts.
