St. Petersburg incident: courier robbed while blocked by multiple cars

Several drivers outran the courier and seized his belongings in St. Petersburg, according to Fountain.

The report notes that the delivery service courier argued with a driver near the intersection of Mechnikov and Piskarevsky streets. After the dispute, the driver blocked the courier’s path, and other motorists rushed to assist the aggressor.

The 26-year-old migrant courier later told police that three men threatened him with a knife and stole three smartphones, including an iPhone, a wristwatch, and a car sun visor. Neighborhood police issued a preventative alert, but the suspects remain at large. It is known that one of the attackers owned a car linked to a 24-year-old man who previously damaged another vehicle with a friend.

Aspect clarifies in MK St. Petersburg, citing a law enforcement source, that an immigrant courier on the ring road was intercepted by a driver in a Kia Rio, with whom he exchanged words. The victim was then forced out of his car as Kia and Hyundai vehicles blocked his path and he faced threats with a knife before being assaulted.
