Smart, Simple Fire Extinguisher Mounts for the Car Trunk

A rare automobile design includes a dedicated mounting point for a fire extinguisher that remains permanent to the vehicle interior.

Two practical mounting ideas were tested.

In the first approach, a 10 × 15 cm patch of fabric Velcro is used. The hook side attaches securely to the extinguisher, while the loop side is glued to the trunk trim to hold the assembly in place.

For a more refined look, a cylindrical housing was crafted from fabric and sewn to form a tube that cradles the extinguisher, secured with Velcro.

The same method will be applied to finish a bag that holds other car accessories.
