Severouralsk taxi driver located after three days of search
Police in Severouralsk confirmed that 42-year-old taxi driver Yulia Troshina, who had been reported missing on December 12, was found following a three day search. The information comes from regional police sources cited by the E1.RU portal.
On December 12 in the afternoon, Troshina, who was operating a taxi in the village of Kalya, climbed into her Mitsubishi Lancer and drove off in an unknown direction. Three days later, the vehicle and the driver were located by traffic police in Serov.
Detectives recovered four deactivated SIM cards on the vehicle and investigators later found a fifth SIM card that appeared to be used for communicating with the outside world. Officials speculated that Troshina may have wanted solitude, which could explain her apparent disconnection from relatives and others. This interpretation was shared by Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service for the Main Directorate of the Sverdlovsk Region’s Ministry of Internal Affairs representing Komsomolskaya Pravda in the region.
Gorelykh noted that roughly 70 officers from the Severouralsk police department participated in the search operations. Troshina is currently reporting to the Troshina district police station as part of routine investigative procedures.
Police described a calming outcome to the investigation, adding that there was no suspect identified in the case. In addition to the officers, Troshina’s common-law husband and her two young children had expressed concern for her safety during the disappearance. [Source: E1.RU]
