Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced that the ministry recently received a new batch of Lada Aura official cars. The news was reported by RIA News, highlighting the growing emphasis on using domestically produced vehicles within the government fleet.

According to official remarks, the aim is clear: the authorities should increasingly rely on domestic automobiles. Siluanov noted that the latest delivery consisted of Lada Aura models, clarifying that these are not to be confused with Aurus vehicles. The minister described the Lada Aura as a strong option for official use and suggested it matches up well with what international brands offer in terms of comfort and practicality.

Speaking on the matter, Siluanov indicated that the Ministry views the Lada Aura as a competitive choice for government transport, comparable in quality to well-known foreign models such as Ford vehicles and even the BMW 5 Series, in his assessment.

At the close of 2023, Siluanov expressed optimism that ministry staff could become the first Russian officials to travel in a domestically produced business class vehicle, reinforcing a broader policy push toward national automotive manufacturing and self-reliance in high-end vehicles.

Earlier reports indicated that AvtoVAZ would continue to adjust production schedules, with additional shifts planned on Saturdays to support the assembly lines for the Lada Granta and the Niva. This move underscores the ongoing efforts within the country to expand output and strengthen the domestic automotive sector as part of a long-term strategy for local industry growth.
