PJ visited Ammo NYC detailing studio for a meticulous cleaning and a run for the 87 year old engine with the guidance of the chief mechanic. In time, this car is set to be offered for sale.

It stood as the largest budget option on the market and used far less fuel than its rivals. More than 350,000 Plymouth PJ units were sold, and one found a place in a garage in 1983.

This 1935 Plymouth PJ has not moved in years. The host of the video above estimated that the car has not received a proper wash or servicing longer than it has spent in storage, a span of 43 years.

The classic pre-war Plymouth was, as expected, in rough condition. The current owners aimed to bring it back to working order and then connect with a deserving buyer for a full restoration. To achieve this, Ammo NYC began a careful, systematic restoration that brought a rusty four-door vehicle back to life both inside and out.

It proved to be a demanding project. The interior, over time, housed other living residents, leaving the upholstery in a shocking state. Yet once the detailing reached a milestone, the moment came to revive the Plymouth’s engine. The six‑cylinder engine finally roared to life under the guidance of an experienced mechanic.
