The Novosibirsk region leads in the number of comprehensive insurance claims filed after natural disasters, according to a study by VSK Insurance House (as reported by socialbites.ca).
The research identifies the regions with the highest demand for full coverage against natural disasters. The Novosibirsk region accounts for about 20% of total claims, followed closely by the Rostov region with 19% and the Kemerovo region also around 20%. The report notes additional figures: Krasnodar region at 13% and Chuvashia at 5.8%.
Seasonal patterns emerge in demand for this risk, with the strongest activity observed in July this year at 40%, then May at 20%, September at 17%, and June at 15.6%.
Cars most frequently involved in these force majeure events include models from Lada, Toyota, Kia, and Chery. The typical payout to vehicle owners in such cases averages about 153.5 thousand rubles.
These findings shed light on how regional exposure to natural hazards translates into insurance behavior and claim outcomes, illustrating why some makes and regions see higher rates of comprehensive coverage claims after weather-related incidents. (Source: VSK Insurance House study.)
