At kilometer 344 on the Serov-Yekaterinburg roadway, a collision occurred between a Renault Logan and a passenger bus. The incident was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Sverdlovsk region.
Officials stated that preliminary information indicates an accident involving a Renault Logan and a bus took place on July 17 today. The bus was en route along route 509, heading from Krasnoturinsk to Yekaterinburg. The Renault Logan driver attempted a return maneuver and a lane change, and in doing so collided with the bus traveling in the same direction, resulting in the Renault driver’s death. The collision highlighted the risks associated with abrupt evasive maneuvers on this road segment.
The police will complete an administrative investigation to establish the exact cause of the crash. At the time of the incident, the bus carried 15 passengers, and there were no reported injuries among them. The authorities are examining whether the bus operator complied with all passenger transport regulations and safety standards.
