In Volgograd’s Kirovsky district, law enforcement officers detained a woman who appeared intent on damaging a car in retaliation. This was reported via the Telegram channel of the Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
According to the report, a 50-year-old saleswoman from a local store filed a police complaint after an unidentified person shattered the windshield of her Suzuki car, which had been parked near the store.
The footage indicates that the detained woman arrived at the store under the influence, demanded free food from the clerk, and then decided to exact revenge after being refused. Surveillance clips show her approaching the employee’s car, picking up a glass container, hurling it at the windshield, and then strolling away with a deliberate pace.
Administrative proceedings have been opened under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, commonly referred to as minor vandalism. A criminal case could subsequently be considered against the suspect if the circumstances warrant it.
In a separate incident in Orenburg, security forces confronted thieves who were attempting to flee with a vehicle. They chased the suspects onto the hood and door of another car, intending to stop them. One offender shattered the windshield, fired a warning shot into the air, and attempted to retrieve the ignition key from the front-seat passenger. The passerby who intervened lost his footing and fell to the asphalt as the chase continued.
Additional officers arrived to assist, resulting in the detention of three male suspects in the vehicle, including a minor. Investigators later stated that the gang had robbed country houses and had loaded a car with televisions and other household appliances found inside.
Previously, reports surfaced that the Rostov region’s head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations had been photographed stealing a fire truck, an incident captured on video footage.
