In Kemerovo: reckless driver triggers multiple crashes while fleeing authorities
A driver in Kemerovo caused a chain of traffic incidents while trying to evade police. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported the events on its Telegram channel, detailing a reckless pursuit that began after officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in the city center.
According to the report, officers signaled the driver to stop. Instead of complying, the driver accelerated, prompting a large response from multiple traffic police teams. During the pursuit, the driver collided with several vehicles on more than one occasion in an effort to flee. The chase ended when the vehicle was finally brought to a stop in a courtyard area. During the confrontation, the driver crashed into a patrol car and resisted arrest, but officers from the State Traffic Inspectorate were able to detain him.
The investigation revealed that the suspect was a 28-year-old resident of Kemerovo who did not possess a valid driver’s license and had an extensive criminal history. He was placed in custody for ten days and fined more than 40,000 rubles for his actions.
