A woman from Achinsk who had her driver’s license revoked faced pressure from the traffic police not to penalize her, claiming she was pregnant. This account comes from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The patrol stopped a Toyota Corolla Fielder after observations showed the driver did not yield to a pedestrian attempting to cross. The driver, a woman born in 1993, was found to have been without a license for a year due to repeated offenses involving driving in the opposite lane. During verification, it became clear that she had not held a valid license for the duration of the summer.
According to the traffic police, the woman attempted to mitigate consequences by appealing to the officers’ emotions and asserting pregnancy. A report was filed for driving without a license and failing to grant pedestrians the right of way. Inspectors also discovered that she was an administrator of several messaging groups that share information about the locations of police teams with other drivers.
Officials stressed that such actions contribute to road accidents. By disclosing where police teams are stationed, a driver may assist intoxicated individuals or others who feel compelled to bypass checkpoints, thereby increasing risk on the roads.
Previously, a Magnitogorsk resident organized sessions of racing with traffic officers and was involved in a major collision. This incident underscores ongoing concerns about violations and their potential to provoke dangerous driving behavior and accidents.
