Porsche Cayenne Seized in Tobolsk as Drunk Driving Penalties

In Tobolsk, authorities reported the seizure of a Porsche Cayenne from a driver caught behind the wheel while intoxicated. A Nissan Almera from a separate owner was also taken. Both vehicles are slated to be transferred to the special military operation zone, as noted by the press service of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Tyumen region on the social platform VKontakte.

The statement clarified that the drivers of both foreign cars, a Nissan Almera and a Porsche, are Tobolsk residents over forty who have had their licenses revoked by court order due to drunk driving. The seized vehicles were handed over to personnel from the Ministry of Defense to support military personnel in the SVO zone.

Administratively, both former vehicle owners received penalties of 300 to 400 hours of community service. This measure accompanies the license revocation and the confiscation of property as part of the enforcement actions following the offenses.

In a broader note, at the end of May, Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma, announced that veterans of the Northern Military District who have sustained injuries that impede movement may become eligible to receive manually operated vehicles. The aim is to help those veterans return to daily life with greater autonomy.

Manual steering devices are designed to enable driving without the need for assistance from another person. These systems are specifically tailored for individuals who cannot operate standard foot pedals and steering controls.

Earlier, it was indicated that Russia is moving toward the production of updated Akhmat armored vehicles, signaling ongoing modernization across military and defense initiatives. The current developments highlight how legal penalties, accessibility adaptations, and defense-related programs intersect in the broader context of public safety and veteran support.
