A traffic incident was reported in the village of Kalinovka, Omsk region, where a VAZ-210740 overturned on the roadway. Police officers arrived at the scene and found that the driver was a 34-year-old man who had previously been deprived of his driving rights due to prior offenses. The investigation began amid reports that the same man had taken a company vehicle during the scene of the crash, complicating the situation further.
According to statements from the regional traffic police press service, the driver lost control on North 25th Street. The vehicle struck a light pole and then continued for several meters before attempting to enter traffic again in the opposite direction. In the course of these actions, he attempted to steal a passing car, prompting a rapid response from law enforcement officers who managed to intercept him.
As a result, an administrative protocol was opened for several violations: driving on the shoulder, crossing into the oncoming lane, and operating a vehicle without a valid license. In addition, a criminal case was initiated for theft. The suspect refused to undergo a medical examination, which led to the preparation of administrative materials under Article 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Russia.
In total, 23 administrative documents were filed against the driver for a range of traffic violations observed at the scene. The incident underscores the persistent dangers posed by drivers who lack valid licenses and ignore traffic laws, endangering themselves and others on the road.
