A 23-year-old man connected with a young woman online and arranged to meet in person. The invitation described a first date that would take place at her home in a residential area near Solnechny in Krasnoyarsk.
When he arrived, the girl was not present. Soon after, an unfamiliar man and a young woman approached his vehicle and asked him to drive them to Severny, creating an unsettling start to what was supposed to be a simple meetup.
This note is part of a public report that summarizes an incident investigated by authorities in that region.
During the journey, the passenger brandished a knife and demanded money. Lacking cash, the man was coerced into driving to the nearest ATM to withdraw funds. The pressure intensified as the group pressed him to comply with their demands, escalating the threat of violence.
While they were on the road, the young man managed to notice a PPS patrol car in the vicinity. He saw an opportunity and decisively drove toward the police vehicle to seek immediate assistance and to alert law enforcement to the danger he faced.
He exited the car and rushed toward officers, explaining the situation and asking them to detain the suspected attackers so he could later provide a full account of what had happened.
The officers apprehended the two suspects: a 29-year-old man with prior convictions and a 20-year-old companion. A criminal case was initiated under part 2 of article 162 of the Criminal Code, which covers robbery and related offenses.
